That Physical Culture Podcast
Join Renee and Justine for a candid, cheeky and totally heartfelt look at Physical Culture in Australia, celebrating the women, the wins and the wonderfully unhinged moments that make Physie what it is.
We come from a position of being absolute novices (well actually, we're moving into Intermediate in 2026, if you want to be technical!), so if you're looking for an expert viewpoint of Physie, you're in the wrong place!
This podcast has zero affiliation with BJP Physie and/or our club. It's a manifestation of many hundreds of conversations we've had about physie over the past three years. Our views and opinions do not represent those of BJP Physical Culture and/or our club.
Where we poke some fun at physie (all types of physie) please know, we absolutely love doing Physie, but like all creative outlets, there's always little things that surprise us and make us laugh and we want to share those laughs with others! It's all in jest, and we have no desire to offend or upset anyone.
Hopefully these discussions will open up the Physie world to others, and ultimately grow our amazing sport! With love and appreciation, Renee & Justine.

This fortnight on That Physical Culture Podcast, we’re flipping the script.
After countless episodes of Justine insisting she’s the Andy to Renee’s Hamish, we’ve decided it’s finally time to let her have the microphone… uninterrupted. (Well, mostly. Old habits die hard.)
This episode is all about getting to know the woman behind the one-liners, the media powerhouse, and the self-proclaimed sidekick. Renee puts Justine in the hot seat to chat about everything from her dream physie goals and what keeps her coming back year after year, to the parts of the sport she’d happily leave behind if she were handed the rule book.
The girls also dive into Justine’s honest thoughts on this wonderfully weird, wildly addictive sport we’ve all somehow become obsessed with. Expect plenty of laughs, a few surprises, and the usual amount of oversharing.
To wrap things up, we’ve got another Poddy Pick for the physie fam. This fortnight we’re shining a light on the incredible Back to the Mac – Fleetwood Mac Experience. If you’re a Fleetwood Mac fan (or simply appreciate brilliant live music), do yourself a favour and check them out.
Until next time… keep pointing those toes, recruiting your friends, and remember… it’s only a cult if you’re not in it. 💃

Welcome, welcome, welcome to that physical culture podcast. I'm your host, Renee Walkhart, joined by my co-host Gutta Goblin Justin Ricky.
SPEAKER_01Gutta Goblin. I feel like it.
SPEAKER_02And and what did you just say?
SPEAKER_01Oh shit. Why I look like a gutter goblin. Because a glowing gutter goblin. Well, I'm you'll I'm very lucky. I wasn't gonna put any makeup. I was like, it was so hard, I went, oh I don't like because I've already got the chill record.
SPEAKER_02Like in the evening before, and then think I've got to get up in the morning and do it again.
SPEAKER_01Exactly. I was really, I mean, an irony out. I went, oh, could I just phone this in and just not do it?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I thought about that. I'm not even going out tomorrow, but I will turn up with a full face and makeup just because I cannot be around fizzy women with like no makeup on. What are you like mental?
SPEAKER_01And it's your favourite thing.
SPEAKER_02So my favourite part of the day is just doing the hair and makeup. Um, but I was like, oh my god, I have to do my makeup and hair tonight. And I've got to wake up in the morning and do it again. And I'm gonna be there at 7 30, because if I'm not going on the floor, you know I'm working all day. You know I'm fucking sweeping the floors. No, I'll be good. I'll I'll I think I'll enjoy it. I think so. Oh yeah, raffle table starts at eight. Does
Off to host an interclub in the morning
SPEAKER_02it? Someone's on the floor at nine. I'm like, I'm just gonna get there early. I'm gonna do Macca's drive-throughs. Oh banned. Yeah, a bit of protein. Not not the healthy type.
SPEAKER_01No, oh protein's protein. You'll be fine. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Well, I'm gonna be a good coffee. Well, think of me. Give me all your thoughts and prayers. I'll be getting me, the two kids ready.
SPEAKER_02Crazy. That's why I'm like, I'm gonna work. I'm gonna work tomorrow because I do not have any children there. It's very hard to volunteer into club day when you're looking after two children under the age of eight.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I just flat out. I said sorry. No, I can't. Sorry.
SPEAKER_02It's not possible.
SPEAKER_01No, that's why I said I'll come and I'll come and set up tonight and I'm due for my period. It's T minus one day. No. So I wished it, I wished it to come all week. I was like, come on, just and it's been brewing. You know I've got that feeling.
SPEAKER_02You're out in the yard
It's Shark Week
SPEAKER_02on the trampoline, jumping up and down, like, come on!
SPEAKER_01I'm doing everything. And then it hit like today, and I went, okay, now don't come. Yeah. So I've got two, I've got two outfits um options packed in the bag. And you're gonna, you sure as hell no, you're gonna, you're gonna know if I got them or not.
SPEAKER_02Oh look, Justine's got her period.
SPEAKER_01If I'm not, if I'm wearing She's wearing sapphire. If I'm wearing sapphire, you know it can. Right now. Everyone's like, what are you wearing? I went, I don't know. I'm literally gonna try I'm gonna just check like an hour before and go, I'm still running that goblet.
SPEAKER_02I have gone out with a my period arrived while I was wearing white pants.
SPEAKER_01See, but it's not it's I feel like it's fine if it's the day of. Because well, mine's heaviest on the second day. So that's true.
SPEAKER_02It takes a while to kick in.
SPEAKER_01Well, still got a couple of hours. You should be good for like white. But what if it happens now? If I get a now. Yeah. Anyway, no. If you see a photo of me and I'm wearing sapphire, I mean it ruined my day.
SPEAKER_02Like you said during the week. It's shark week. Shark Week. I've never heard of it called shark weeks, and I fucking laugh so hard. Shark Week. Shark Week. Oh, it's great. So this week um we decided that we would just do us, no guests, because everyone's in interclub. Yeah, no. No one wants to talk to us.
No one wants to talk in Interclub Season
SPEAKER_02We didn't really forward plan this very well when we were like at the start of the year. Yeah, we never considered like, oh, when it comes to competition time, no one's gonna want to talk to us. They're all too busy travelling around. People are going to Perth.
SPEAKER_01I love that. I saw that war hope. War chip.
SPEAKER_02I love that. I think I I'd love to go to South Australia. We talked about that during the week. We want to do the Adelaide Hills and come down like it's just selfishly. It's a wine trip trip. Like, let's be real, it's a wine trip with a bit of fizzy on the side. Yeah, yeah. How do you think? Yeah, I'm dead keen to go to South Australia. Can you just do it? Can you do it? Absolutely. I think you can I think well that's what happened with Melbourne. Um, yeah. Someone from our club was just like, yeah, I'm gonna go to I think I'm gonna go to Melbourne. And I actually thought about it too. I was like, I wouldn't mind going to Melbourne. Yeah, okay. Because I don't know, I would like those like interstate trips. Yeah. They're easy. Be fun. When fizzy's involved, I feel like it's an easier sell.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Sorry, I haven't I have a fizzy competition.
SPEAKER_01I have to go to Melbourne. Let's see if I can get this across the line.
SPEAKER_02It's a little harder when you just like me and the gals are going to Melbourne. Yeah. I mean, it shouldn't be, but I just get the guilts. Oh, do you? Yeah, I get the guilts going away. Going to San Francisco.
SPEAKER_01Oh, how good. I don't think I would have got away with doing that and Melbourne in the same. Yeah, that's a bit that'll be a non-bueno, a non-starter. It's also expensive.
SPEAKER_02Like I did think even those girls from um Warhope would have invested significantly in a flight of Perth. It's a few. Oh, it's not a cheap flight. I've been a couple of times.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, it's so expensive.
SPEAKER_00It's a six-hour flight. I know. I hope they got the good plane. Yeah. Suppose it's like a new Qantas plane or something.
SPEAKER_02But I can imagine, like, we've spoken to the girlies in WA a couple of times on the vibe. They are such a vibe. And I said they would have loved that you guys came. 100%. And that's why I'm like, let's all go.
SPEAKER_01We're all coming to Perth.
SPEAKER_02We're coming to Perth. We're going to South Australia. I want to go to Melbourne City fizzy. Let's do it. Let's get a remote.
SPEAKER_01We should just campaign you. Remember how the state of origin, how they when they first introduced you have to go to Melbourne for one of the games. We'll just do that. Yeah. Nationals. Guess what, guys? Nationals no longer get up and go. It's not in Homebush anymore. It's gonna it's a great great way to grow the code. Yeah. The code. Just campaign it. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02I'm not well, we'll never make nationals. So we'll just like it. As if you made it to nationals, you wouldn't go to nationals. Oh, of course you would. You get everyone going to the show. Oh one. I'd be like bitches. Yeah. Oh, we're going. We are round up the troops. It would also be wildly easier to get tickets to go and watch the shows. Just say the spectator situation be a lot calmer. Oh god, give me those tickets. It's just not giving me palpitations already.
SPEAKER_01It's like getting Taylor Swift tickets.
SPEAKER_02I know. I'm like, I really hope we can get tickets. It's gonna be real sad if we don't get tickets. What is the people just standing stay at the opera bar? After a year of talking about this and all the hours we've spent putting this show together, and we're like cricket tickets. Insert crickets here. So um this week, because it's interclubs, and we're like, fair enough, guys, we can't get a guest. And you know, we haven't done the interclubs yet. By the time this episode comes out, we would have done both.
SPEAKER_03Oh shit, yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, we would have been to Foster as well. Um so we're going to Tari Great Lakes fizzy. Um and we're doing yeah, we're staying in Foster, which I'm super pumped for. So excited. Um, so a bit of an update. Me and Cups are staying in a cabin together. When I heard
Party's back at Cups' cabin
SPEAKER_02this, fucking hell. We haven't seen Cups in like three months. Yeah, she's been in Bali and she literally flies in and then she's gonna pick me up and we're driving together to Foster, and then it's just us in the cabin now, and she's like, We're not going to the club for dinner with everyone else. We're staying at the cabin and we're gonna party and really catch up.
SPEAKER_01I was like, It's just okay, it's just a disaster waiting for me.
SPEAKER_02I know, I know. I was like, I'm glad she's driving home.
SPEAKER_01I couldn't stop laughing when you told me that you guys are all when you're in in the cabin together. I went, oh it was gonna be a bit squishy. Oh yeah, yeah, yeah. I remember when the other two were gonna come and move.
SPEAKER_02We've thinned out a bit since then. But yeah, it's the um yeah, it's me and party carbon. Yeah, like come see us. I'm gonna do some lives, I reckon. Oh, you so I'm gonna have to confiscate you between the two of you. Maybe not when we're drinking, but I'm definitely gonna maybe do a live in the car. Oh yeah. Roadie. A roadie live. She's gonna hate it. Oh, she will. Well, that's what she gets. That's why it's so good that this episode's not coming out until after we go because she's not gonna know that I'm what I've got. Yeah, yeah. She's driving. What's she gonna do? Pull off the road, crash.
SPEAKER_01Try and kick you out and see your little hand.
SPEAKER_02So again. So um I'm instead of interviewing a guest, I'm gonna interview you. There we go. Because
Interviewing Justine today!
SPEAKER_02I mean, I mean, like, you know, you've said a couple of times that you feel like the um the Andy to Mahemish. Yeah. And when you said to me the other night, you were like, oh, maybe I could interview you, I was like, I think everyone knows where I'm up to. There's like too much main character energy going on.
SPEAKER_01I love it though. No, just gotta know where you sit, and I'm very comfortable with the fact I'm like.
SPEAKER_02Do you like not being in the spotlight? But I'm gonna I'm tonight. Oh my god because it's uh 6 30, 7 o'clock. This is a late one for us. We never do this late. I'm tired. Yeah, we're a little tired. We're a little tired. And we're about to go set up. We're about to go, we're going from here to go set up our interclub room. So it's gonna be a big night and a big morning tomorrow.
SPEAKER_01Okay. This

SPEAKER_02Which honestly feels pretty on brand for fizzy mums because we like to understand the why of things work, not just to be told to push through.
SPEAKER_01So if you've been feeling flat, foggy, run down, or just not quite yourself, Instinctive Health offers gut health testing and personalized support to help you get back on track.
SPEAKER_02You can check them out at instinctivehealth.com.au. Trust your gut, nurture your health. Hit me. Okay. Oh god. So can you remind me how we decided we were gonna do this podcast? Because I don't really people ask me that all the time. And I'm like, for the life of me, I don't really remember.
How did we start this?
SPEAKER_02I think it happens so fast.
SPEAKER_01Yes, so I think it was just one of those things that um it was a gradual, not the podcast itself, but you and I find in each other and just find in it very funny to have running commentary through things and just laugh about stupid shit.
SPEAKER_02And you like, because you're in the mum's fit. Yeah, there's a like for the listener, I don't have kids at fizzy. Yeah. So I am only turning up to classes, you know, two nights a week, and I'm like in after work, out straight away, where you're hanging around with the other girls in our class to have the kids. Yeah. And then you guys went to nationals last year. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. And when you came back, you were like, wait till I tell you about what goes on down there. And I reckon it was around national time.
SPEAKER_01It was it was around nationals time, and I remember this. I was trying to pen thing. No, that was no, because that was the opera house. No, it's when I first with the Nationals Aftermasters, and then I was hurting, like I was listening to the challenges, and I couldn't I couldn't follow the bloody program. I couldn't understand what was going on. I had no idea. And you know who the person who originally sparked the idea in my head was our teacher Julia's mum.
SPEAKER_02Oh, Sue! Sue. Sue?
SPEAKER_01Because Sue is dry. You think wear dry, she is has the driest, quickest, oh, it took me funniest.
SPEAKER_02It took me months to work out her sense of humour. I was like, is she nagging me? Oh yeah, and she's the best.
SPEAKER_01And like I was sitting in front of her just having these commentary, and she she was just laughing, going, Oh my god, Justine, you should have a s you should be a stand-up comedian. I went, oh doll. It's just because you're dry and you think that we're funny. Yeah. And then I was saying to you, I was like, you know what we should do? Because there's no such, there's no fizzy podcast. Yes. And you and I just started looking at it, and we're like, oh, we could do this.
SPEAKER_02And we we you pulled up that um like in the cloud spreadsheet. Oh yeah. And we were filling subject lines, yeah, like topic, yeah, like episode topic so quickly that it was like, oh shit, she's filled that cell. I've got to go to the next one because we were just going so fast. Yeah. We had like, what was it, uh like a year's worth of content in about 10 minutes.
SPEAKER_0110 minutes, and you with your ADHD, you're like, not even a week later, you're like, so I've bought some um equipment and here's our artwork. I went, right, let's let's just do it. It's just happening. And I think we told everyone at our um like our Christmas party. Lord, that was awesome. We're like, hi, this is happening. No one actually believed we'll do it. And we did it.
SPEAKER_02Well, yeah, I was sort of like didn't know what was gonna happen. Even like I think about how easy things are to do now versus the first episode. Oh god, that was sowkish. Yeah, I mean, it doesn't sound awkward, but like it took a bit of brain time to think through like producing content, but I feel like you know, we're on to it now. We think we're there. Oh, we yeah, we well, we we think. Give us another year and we'll be like, oh my god, we were so bad last year. So, um what's been your favorite episode
What's your favourite episode?
SPEAKER_02so far? That's a tough one.
SPEAKER_01It's a tough one. I tell you what, I look, I I do love having guests on, like I think that's always really fun. I love listening, like and learning and stuff. But my my most favourite is just you and I. Yeah. Um, I think that's that's like the things that I love the most. One of my most favourite to do, what was probably one of the performance wear ones, but one of my most favourite was the actual um history one. Oh, yes. And I tell you why that was my favorite. Because you didn't have to do anything. Why not have to do anything? But we did it, but it was like I was like three cans deep when you're doing it. And I thought in the moment I remembered what you're saying, and then I listened to it and went, I don't remember that. And I went, Oh, wow. Great time. A great time.
unknownI don't know.
SPEAKER_01I think, yeah, I would say one of those, but I just like it doing it's just us. Yeah, it is, and it's it is wildly easier to do.
SPEAKER_00It is, yeah.
SPEAKER_01It's we says he doesn't even edit.
SPEAKER_02Um what has surprised you the most about what you've learned about the sport
What's been most surprising about what you've learnt?
SPEAKER_02since you started, not even on the porch that there are other codes.
SPEAKER_01Oh I know! No, seriously, though. I know that like I didn't even know there was multiple codes. No, I just thought it was up.
SPEAKER_02Like, I just thought it was BJP. Yeah, that would have to be the biggest light bulb, like that codes episode when I was like, oh my god, there's like six or seven codes. Fucking I remember standing in our class and someone was like, Oh, you know, like how are you gonna how how are you gonna sort of manage the fact that that there's other sorts of fizzy? And I did know about EP, but it was such a it was such a um like foreign concept to me that I was like, Oh, there's some other one, but I don't know what it's about. And then um someone was like, Oh, there's um Burns, there's you know, um well like I knew Aptor as well.
SPEAKER_01Like there were I didn't even know, I did not know any of them.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, right.
SPEAKER_01I think I knew EP only because my cousin's best friend does it. But I I she'll I didn't know about United. No, I didn't know about Mariga. Like none of the above. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So that's probably the biggest thing that has surprised me and that I've learnt along the way was since I started with that there there were others.
SPEAKER_02Well, I reckon that's actually turned out to be the most special thing about the podcast. Oh, I know. Is like the ability to recognise that um there's we actually have so much more in common. Like we're actually all doing the same sport. We have minor like outfit differences, minor focus differences on flair or technical focus, um, but at the end of the day it all came from one spot. Yeah. And like like it's all funny. Like it's just a funny sport.
SPEAKER_01And the other thing I've probably learned as well is that I didn't know one, I didn't know there was multiple codes, and then that people do multiple codes. Kia Maria. I was like, what the actual fuck? I still I still blown away, but I want to be one of these people really do John because I'm really jealous. But that's probably it.
SPEAKER_02It's hard as a mum, like I did you know, when when I interviewed Kia and I did speak to her mum later actually, because she was like, Oh I know about the burns now, that's her new addition. And I was like, Yeah, when if you can do it, you know, she's young. If you can swing it, go for it. Because you know, if you f decide to go down the family track one day, ain't no doing heaps of different codes. I mean, you could do maybe two tops. May yeah. I mean two tops. Yeah. I don't even know how you just retain the work. I don't know. I'd get so it'd all get muddled together for me. That's what I mean. I don't know how they do it. Yeah, I'd be like, oh no, that's that's what I'm doing it up to. How did that get in there? Yeah, um, so what was your first impression
What was your first impression of Renee?
SPEAKER_02of me when we met at Fizzy?
SPEAKER_01Hmm. I remember you coming up to me and you're like, you went to Joey's, and I went, what the fuck? Hi! No, but to be fair, I was like, thank God for you. Because I came in May. Oh, yeah. Came in May. Stupid idea.
SPEAKER_02Don't start in May.
SPEAKER_01Start in bloody May.
SPEAKER_00Start in February with everyone. I know. I thought, oh yeah, I'll just I'll just come.
SPEAKER_01And then I forgot there's like five routines, and you guys were like three quarters of the way through five routines. No, I remember seeing you and you and you're like, you're a Joey's girl. I went, yeah, there we are.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I was like, I recognise you.
SPEAKER_01But I was like, thank God for you, because you and Stevie spoke to me. Yes. And I remember and you brought me in the phone.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I was like, get over here. Yeah. We're not good either.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, and I really appreciated that.
SPEAKER_02Lo and behold, you have like wiped to the floor ever since.
SPEAKER_01And I'm like, people are gonna have the highest expectations when they see me, and I'm like, I'm I'm not. I reckon that's what it is. And I remember you being very funny.
SPEAKER_02Oh, that's nice. That's nice. I I I I I just befriend people even when they don't really want to be friends with me.
SPEAKER_00I was like, I was that awkward kid in the corner, I'm like, please, someone just befriend me.
SPEAKER_02It's pretty hard, like just coming in hardcore, especially when you didn't come in at the start of the year.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, idiot.
SPEAKER_02Otherwise, when you come in at the start of the year, I feel like people naturally like take you under their wing. Yeah, yeah. I was like, who's that girl? Yeah, and I was like, Where'd this girl come from?
SPEAKER_01And I only yes, because I only knew Tina. Oh because I knew Tina and um she was like, Yeah, yeah, come. And then lo and behold, I was like, oh yeah, she's an open, and then she's got amazing. And I'm like, what the actual and then I remember and I was like, oh god, that girl hates me. What? I've always said that. I was like, oh my god, does she hate me? Does Anna hate me? Do you hate me, Anna? No, she's like, she's like me, she's got we've all got this resting, resting face.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I love her. Yeah, no. Yeah, no, she's high quality. Oh fuck, she's she's a quality chick. What's one rule in fizzy? Oh one.
SPEAKER_00Fucking hell.
SPEAKER_02I had to I had to I had to set a limit somewhere um if you could change it tomorrow. Oh my god. Especially because it's interclub tomorrow.
SPEAKER_01What would I change? So do you know I'm gonna do this for you? Oh yeah. Let the people wear a crop.
SPEAKER_02Oh yeah, with no mesh over the top. Let people just let them. And bring back dance design.
SPEAKER_03And bring back dance design.
SPEAKER_02I want the I want the bloody black and I want the shimmer and I want the bloody sapphire in the dance design.
SPEAKER_01Let the design. Do you know what I would like? Just don't judge me on the turnout. Oh. I get it, it's the fundamentals of it. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02But I don't I'm not very good at it. Yeah, well
What rule would you change?
SPEAKER_02it's kind of it's kind of feels unfair when it's sort of like a genetic, biological. Some people have great. Turn out because it's coming from the hips. Oh, see, this is my daughter.
SPEAKER_01Oh no, I do have a rule. I'm talking about this this morning. Oh. So when I first started Fizzy, when I came back and I said, I'm joining, so I was 38, 37 at the time.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I was 38.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, so about that time. And then they asked me if I'd ever done it. And I was like, yeah, but like I didn't compete. When I was eight. Yeah. I like I said I quit when I was eight 30 years ago. So I'll come in as a beginner, thank you. And they went, No, you've not come in as a novice. I said, I'm sorry, pardon what? I was like, oh no, no, no. I I don't I I actually said to Sue, no, I think you misheard me. I said I did it when I was eight. Not eighteen, eight. Like just like looking at me going, yeah. The only way change that.
SPEAKER_02The only way I squeaked through that process, because I had the same chat with Sue when I started the year before, was that we'd boiled it down to the fact that I knew I'd never compete. Commit it, yeah, I'd be. I was just going to classes like a little kid. Kitty. Kitty classes. That's probably what I would change. But you definitely competed.
SPEAKER_01Oh, I competed. Well, I keep finding. So the you did quite well. Turns out. So it's I don't know where I must block this all for my brain. So in my head, I did it for two years, right? And mum's like, yeah, I don't, like, I can't remember. And she keeps stumbling upon photos. And I went, I've I've aged about like five years. Like from the start, I was probably about And you've got medals and stuff.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Yes. And then you look about seven, maybe? Six.
SPEAKER_01Not older than that. I reckon it's like eight. And I went, how's there still photo? And then there's a couple of years in that. I know. And you know, um, last year at um Teams, I was like, oh, I've never got the what do we call that thing? Sash? Red. Whatever the hell that blue thing's called. Well, it's red, I think, in Teams. Yeah. Went, oh, I've never, I've never, never got one of those big certificates. Yeah. Neck minute. Someone's found a photo of me holding it. Holding it. Not as the individual. That was never happening. In Teams. I went, huh?
SPEAKER_02Our team won. I said, Mum, is that me? She's like, yeah, alright. Huh. I know what that is now. I know what that is now. Such an idiot. Um if you could steal the body
Steal the body of anyone, who would it be?
SPEAKER_02of any fizzy person and take it into competition, who would it be?
SPEAKER_01The body. So everything that comes like as in the flexibility, everything.
SPEAKER_02Their knowledge technique like the works. The works. You put your brain into their fizzy know-how body. Ooh, okay. Look, it's probably.
unknownOof.
SPEAKER_01I feel like I want to say you're senior, but I don't know any of really of their names because it'd be nice to be in a senior's book.
SPEAKER_02Oh, look. Because you'd be 20 something.
SPEAKER_00Um I'll just try and get that little tuck tuck.
SPEAKER_01Um no, look, I love, I love watching, I know it's so like cliche, but I really love watching Sally. Yeah. Very excited to see. Yeah. Um and probably like furniture. Yes. Oh god. She's amazing. If I could get my life ever get it here. And she's a good looking bird. Yeah, I'll take that. I mean 100%. Listen, anyone. Anyone really? Not this. Cups, too. Cups. Cups.
SPEAKER_02I'd take it.
SPEAKER_00Tina, Lauren, like all of them. Every I know. Everyone. I'll just take anyone's really.
SPEAKER_02Everyone's amazing.
SPEAKER_00Everyone. Everyone, bar mate.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Just get me out of my body. Don't want this body. What's your fizzy dream within your own limits
What's your physie dream?
SPEAKER_02of your ability? Yeah, look.
SPEAKER_01To be honest, and I think this comes down to like I joke about it a lot. I think the thing, if we're gonna get really like deep on this stuff, the thing I d and it's a personal thing that I don't like about fizzy is, and I was joking around about it, but it is, I feel like you being successful, and I use those words in involved commas, but like to get to like things like nationals and progress, it obvious it does favor people who are flexible, right? Yeah, so the flexibility of it, of being able to, you know, turn out really well, get your kicks high, whatever, it you naturally like it does favor that kind of ability, right? And it's also a bit genetic. It is, and I say this because so much logical, like yes, you can work really hard at it, and you know, some people can get there, and some people just have their mobility just doesn't allow them to, right? So like I get this, my daughter has hypermobility, and she will look at me and she'll just do the splits both ways and goes, What? Can't you do that? And it like it's like seven-year-old me all over again going, No, I can't. No, I didn't do it. So I think for me, I know my limitations are I just my body just can't do it. Like I could stretch and stretch and do and do and like I work hard. Yeah, you try hard, but I just don't think realistically I'd ever look my dream, if you like, if it could ever happen that I could kind of grass would be just make it out of zone. Oh like if I could get a free place, yeah, like just even to scrape in 100% that like my life would be made. Mine is come first place at an intercourse, which you've done. I was very lucky. I was very, very lucky.
SPEAKER_02I think you've done it twice. No, I was lucky.
SPEAKER_01But I think that would be it. Yeah, that's great. Oh, look, make it out a zone would be um, making out and our zones, I know like every zone is hard. Our zone is particularly hard. Um I wonder what the Sydney zone's like. Oh look, I think they're all hard. I do think they're all hard. Yeah. Um, I think it's just especially with the opens, I think they've got a very, very, very hard zone to get out of.
SPEAKER_02Newcastle's very competitive too. Like yeah, they're in our zone. Yeah, yeah. When they come down to do our zone, you're like, oh, yeah. It's like the caliber.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Yeah. We've got a lot of. And we've got a lot of good clubs.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, yeah. Um, but yeah. Yeah. Finish this sentence. Oh, fuck.
Finish this sentence...
SPEAKER_02You want an interview? Your co-host is a journalist. Yep. Um, fizzy has taught me. And then go.
SPEAKER_01Oh, okay. Fizzy has taught me resilience. Fuck yeah. Yeah. Jesus. I reckon I swear more now than I did before I started. Oh well, you met me. Oh, and also fizzy has taught me where every physio is on the central coast.
SPEAKER_02Because you need to go to all of them. Or everyone thinks that you work at a physio because how many people have come up to me and go, when I've got my um club jersey, like jump on, they go, Are you a physio?
SPEAKER_01Oh, because a physio's all the time. You should say yeah and just give it a bum steer.
SPEAKER_02People go, How was your physio comp? Oh stop it.
SPEAKER_01Imagine a physio comp though. I'm just picturing it. I'm like, what are they erasing in strap in? Massaging this.
SPEAKER_02Patient reviews.
SPEAKER_03I love it.
SPEAKER_02That was the best massage I've ever had. I was clenching so hard, it was so painful. I get that. Oh, what physio are you with? Terry Terigal Physio.
SPEAKER_01Terigal looking up. We're really good. Five stars.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, resilience. Resilience, I reckon. It's just so mental.
SPEAKER_01It's it's like golf. It is. You look stupid doing it. Yes. If you're doing it right, you look stupid, and that's the same sculpt.
SPEAKER_02You can really get in your head about it. Yeah. And you can have off years, you can have good years. It's a mental game. You can have a competition where you just blow it, even though you were having a pretty good year. Yep. Um, yeah, it's it's like golf. It's golf. And I uh let's do a poll to see how many fizzy girls are married to golf boys. Oh yeah. Because I think we're very connected. Because I've got a golf boy too. And I know other people from our club are married to golf boys. I think I think there's a sympatico in the headspace of someone who's like, yeah, I I'll do fizzy. You're gonna naturally gravitate to someone who's also not doing possibly not doing fizzy, that'd be interesting. Maybe there are boys in other codes, but um like gravitating to someone who does a sport that's very um mental and physical uh at equal amounts. Yeah, I would say it's as mental as it is physical. Yeah, it is equal doses.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, it is. It's a long time if you think about it. It's eleven minimum eleven minutes of having to be on. Yeah, it's a long time. Remember, yeah, you gotta remember choreography, and it's not like it's the easiest of things. Like it's tricky choreography. It like we were watching the seniors um perform on like just the other day. Thursday night. Whoa! I had to leave.
SPEAKER_02I was like, I can't stay for this. I'm gonna freak out what she is.
SPEAKER_01Like, but just like the athleticism of everything like that you gotta do, and then you've got to be mentally like, I can do this. I'm I'm I'm confident, look at me, I'm not gonna, I'm not gonna stack it.
SPEAKER_02It's just very hard coming in as you know, like you did it, we're finding out now, like maybe maybe two or three years, even though you thought it was a year. I did it for like a year. So I knew what it was, yeah, but I had no idea what it took. And it's you know, we both came into it at like 37, 38. It's just really hard when you're seeing these oh so many people have virtually marched out of the womb. Oh yeah, I know. And you're like, oh, it's just you know, and in novice, people are coming back who have done it maybe all the way up to almost seniors and just dropped out before they went into seniors. They were like, you know, um teenagers. Yep. Like, you know, you hit that patch where you're like, oh, this thing cool, I'm gonna go do dancing for a while. Yeah. Um, and then they come back into novice and you go into novice as well. Oh one year, yeah.
SPEAKER_01And you're just like, oh, well, that's me done. It is, it's hard. It's it's a hard mental game too.
SPEAKER_02It's hard to put the time into practice and really give it your all when you're like, well, when I get to the competition, you know, it's all about the hair and makeup for me.
SPEAKER_01I think it also comes back down to like what Mariah was always saying about what does success look like.
SPEAKER_02And it's also like, you know, I've run bloody four half marathons, and there's no way I'm gonna win that half marathon. Yeah, never gonna happen. Yeah. But I'm always trying to beat my last time. Yeah. And but I just am having a real hard time applying that logic to fizzy. Yeah. Because I think just because I've got so much admiration for the beauty and the talent and just the grace of it. There's no there's no I mean, there's a little bit of style in running. But I mean you're just running.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. But I think it's also it's this instant feedback that you get.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_01You know, it's very sharp feedback loop. It is, it's a very sharp feedback loop. And as you said, you're just like you've got what's a dog in the game, is that what's a thing? You've got a dog in that race.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, yeah. Like you've got a dog, dog in the fight. Yeah, or a horse in the race, I don't know, some sort of animal.
SPEAKER_01It's something in the race. But it's like one of those things where you've got a chance. You know, but like if you look at not so much like the half marathons, like there's one winner.
SPEAKER_00There's always one winner.
SPEAKER_01There's gonna be one winner, but in in fizzy, you're like, oh well, it i I could Stephen Bradbury this. Yeah, everyone could potentially fall over. Yeah. Likelihood, I don't mean Stephen Bradbury one day, probably was sitting around. Steve Ho. I know Steve O.
SPEAKER_02Steve, I know, Steve, like, ooh, look at me. Yes, I know. You never know. You never know. You just gotta get yourself. So resilience. There you go. Yeah, resilience a hundred percent. What routine do you most gravitate towards? Ugh, probably exercises, let's be honest. I can see
What's your favourite routine?
SPEAKER_02that. Short chat strong strong movements.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, but that's the one I always fall over in. So don't ask me why. It's got the balance. It's got the balance in it. So every time I'm like, yes, and then I go, bloody lunge. Here comes the lunge in the exercise. And I you see me, I tense up about it. I'm like, fuck it. Yeah, coming. Yeah, it's probably exercises. Yeah. Um what's your least favourite?
SPEAKER_02Oh,
What's your least favourite?
SPEAKER_02well, we all know it's contemporary. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Fucking like that thing.
SPEAKER_01Um what do you love most about fizzy? Oh I think I think it's just it, you know, it sounds so naff, but it is the people. Yeah. Honestly. Oh, well, you spend so much time there. It's the people, it's the friendship. It's the club. It's the club, it's the vibe. Yeah. It really is. Like I think it's a it's a certain it's a certain kind of person that joins Fizzy
What do you love most about physie?
SPEAKER_01and stays with Fizzy and gets it. Like, you understand it and you understand the people who are doing it.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, and why they're there. And why they're there. What the challenge is to keep doing it.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, yeah, yeah. Probably that.
SPEAKER_02Um, what do you like least?
SPEAKER_01I hate the rules. Yeah, I know. I think it's look, everything needs a rule. Yeah.
What do you like least?
SPEAKER_01I just think you need boundaries. You need boundaries. I think it's just you know, you and I laugh about it.
SPEAKER_02Some of the rules do seem a bit sort of arbitrary though, like a little bit sort of like what?
SPEAKER_01It's just it's just Jimmy Reese to me. It's that the whole I've told you about the comedian Jimmy Reese. Yeah. No, Jason! I've oh my god, I have to share this. Oh my you've never seen this. Jimmy Reese, who's like, you know, Jimmy Giggle. Yeah. He's on the coast. He lives on the coast. Yeah, he lives on the central coast. Can someone, someone find him? I need him to do it. So I'm gonna share this on the podcast. I'll show I'll share it on the podcast page. He does these characters, and one of them a couple of years ago, he used to have himself and let's take Netball. Talk about Netball. And then he has like his assistant and his assistant's name is Jason, and the and Jimmy plays this guy, and he's he's got like a martini, and he's always like, he's like, you know, the person who made up the rules of netball and goes, okay, we're gonna have a game. It's called Netball. They're like, okay, so it'll be like a net with a ball. And he's like, no, Jason, no net, there's no net. And he's like, okay, okay. He's like, okay, so then it's gonna be like basketball where you you bounce the ball, he goes, No, Jason, no, no, no, no, no. No, they they have to stop and pass the ball.
SPEAKER_02Oh, imagine if we could get him to do a physio.
SPEAKER_01It is so so this is where it all started as well. I'm like, who made the rules of these things? Is this like they were just really pissed one day? Oh no, they're gonna kill me. Yeah, but I just feel like you know, like, were they was someone really hammered? Yeah, we had a lunch. Yeah, we have a really long lunch, and we just decided to make up some of these rules. It's just so funny.
SPEAKER_00But yeah, probably some rules. Yeah, yeah. I kinda because I can't follow them.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, it's hard. And there's there's an element of like you know, um, the establishment and just towing the line, and I guess you and I probably don't really always gel with that. Yeah. Well, we're new too.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I think it's because I just I don't know.
SPEAKER_02I mean, like if you talk to the girls that have been doing it forever, a little bit institutional stuff. No, but I mean, it's just it's just in the water. Like you're gonna get used to a rule because you've just f always followed it. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But we've come in late to the game and we're just like, but why?
SPEAKER_01Yeah. I think it's it's just it comes back to those things, like I get it, there's rules. There actually needs to be rules. Oh, I'm taking a piss. I'm like, there needs to be rules. It's a competition, you know, like the rule, like when I mean and when I say rules, where I just think I don't understand how that impacts people, and it's literally like you can't wear a cro you have to wear a mesh vest over the crop top. Like I it is giving Joey's, I know I've said this before jumper, coming in the blazing skate, yeah. It's it's giving that vibe. Catholic girls' school dress code, and it's it's those kind of ones that I go, I don't get it.
SPEAKER_02The boat hat has to be on. Has to be on, or whatever. Like while you're walking in the gate, and then as soon as you get into the school, you can rip the hat off. And you're like, I don't understand those ones. What is happening? I've got to wear a
We're back at school
SPEAKER_02blazer over the jumper, even though I'm so hot in the fucking blazer jumper situation, and actually I was fine in the jumper on its own, but I have to have a blazer to get through the front gate. But when I get in the school, I can take the blazer off. I don't get it. Yeah, it's very Catholic girls' school vibes. We've just gone back to school. We're just yeah. Yeah. Um, all right, so this is a more of a hot round. Oh, okay, yeah. It might feel easier. Okay. One words. Oh, fuck, okay. The first word sort of that comes to your mind when you describe fizzy. Oh marching. Well, it is. It's all
How do you describe physie in a word?
SPEAKER_02it's the truth. It's it's because that's what everyone says. Oh, the marching thing. I'm just leaning into this terrier type of my marching. Yep.
SPEAKER_00Oh shit.
SPEAKER_02Um one word to describe this season. Hard. Fucking hard. Oh, I knew you were gonna say and it's valid.
Describe this season
SPEAKER_02It's the hardest year in the four the whole four years that I've done it. My whole career. I mean, the first year I did it, I did Venus. Yeah, I don't, I never did that. That was the dorkiest year. This is the hardest year. Can we roll it back next year? If anyone's listening, can we just like take the foot off the accelerator next year? Because that'd be much appreciated. Unless you'd like to instate elite ladies. Oh, yeah. Yeah. And I know you're not gonna like hearing that, but I'm saying if you want to keep at this tempo, I don't know if I can keep doing it. Maybe they'll be happy with that. They'll be like, oh, we'll get rid of those two. Make it really hard.
SPEAKER_01Get it with different code.
SPEAKER_02Um, which code would you double dip into?
SPEAKER_01Apta.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. I mean, I knew that, but I was just wanting to on the record. Um, one word to describe marching. Oh
Describe marching
SPEAKER_02fucked. Impossible to master. Well, that's my yeah, no. Can't do it. Impossible. I mean, you know, like if you hadn't done fizzy before and you heard us saying it's impossible, you'd be like, but I've seen you do it. Oh how to put it. Once you start doing fizzy and you realize how much goes into marching.
SPEAKER_01I do know what it is. It's it's a mirage. Every time you think you're getting close to it, it goes further away.
SPEAKER_02It's further away. Like the horizon. It is. It's an oasis. It's an oasis. It's a mirage. Oh, I'm so thirsty. I really need the water.
SPEAKER_01Oh my god, it's so close. It's so close. You're like, I'm there. And they're like, now work on this part.
SPEAKER_02I'm like, it reminds me, um, Scotty and I, when we first got together and we went back to New Zealand so that I could meet his parents because we'd met in London and um we went hiking to this glacier.
SPEAKER_00Oh no.
SPEAKER_02And um, I'm like, I really want to go touch the ice, like I want to touch the glacier. And he goes, babe, that it's so big, it looks really close. It's actually so far away. Like, and I was like, No, look, it's right there. We walked for an hour and a half and it didn't get any closer. See? And he goes, I told you.
SPEAKER_01I love it.
SPEAKER_02If he could let you do it, he's like, he was like, All right, well, let you go. It was a big walk. He was like, I'm up for the exercise. And I was like, Oh my god, we have to walk the whole like hour and a half back now. Yeah. That's marching. That's marching. He never got close to that glacier.
SPEAKER_01That's exactly how I feel about it.
SPEAKER_02Oh, who would you most like to interview on the pod as a guest?
Most wanted guest
SPEAKER_02Oh, who would I like to interview? I mean, to me it's obvious. You're gonna You're gonna say Jackie, yeah.
SPEAKER_01She's never coming on. Well, she's never coming on, but I'm like, if I could have my. Do you know what I re I I really would like to interview someone from head office. Oh, absolutely. But also but all of the head officers I wouldn't mind interviewing.
SPEAKER_02Anyone. Anyone from Top Dogs.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_02Even like other codes.
SPEAKER_01That's what I mean. Like even like APTA or anything like that. Yeah, yeah. 'Cause it's gonna be a look, I know we take the piss a lot, but it's a hard gig. I wouldn't I would never want to do it. Oh, I wouldn't want to be in the upper echelons echelons.
SPEAKER_02Sorry, Scott. I got it right finally.
SPEAKER_01Oh, is it echelons?
SPEAKER_02Echelons.
SPEAKER_01I sound like echelotte. Like a like a what's it called? Like a echelotte. Echelotte. Echelot. Echelotte Yeah, it'd be I wouldn't want like it's I wouldn't do that gig. There's no way in hell.
SPEAKER_02We're leaving now to go and set up a fucking interclub room.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I know. And I'm like, it's a lot. Oh yeah. Look, po I know we take we take the piss a lot, but like, in all honesty, we'll respect the crap out or everyone.
SPEAKER_02100%. The choreography. Oh mate. I I would just I would just clag up, going, oh my god, everyone's gonna be doing this the whole year. And don't get pee. The level of pressure. Like, thank God no one knows who does what.
SPEAKER_01Yes. Look, they're doing a mighty good job.
SPEAKER_02Whoever's doing it, good on you. Like, don't listen to us. Like, we won't, and we don't. Yeah, we don't. We never did. They're probably not even listening to us right now. Eliminate the guests. Oh. Jesus, girl. So take out take away the last one. What
What do you most want answered
SPEAKER_02is the question you want most want answered?
SPEAKER_01I want judging answered.
SPEAKER_02Oh God, I know you can't. Like, I know like do a judging episode, but we can't. No one wants to do it.
SPEAKER_01If it's if marching was the first episode we always get asked for, it is second. Everyone wants to judge in and no one's gonna do it.
SPEAKER_02No one's doing it. Sorry, it's already been confirmed. No one's gonna do it. No one's doing judging.
SPEAKER_01So we just And and that's that's across codes. Yeah, no, no one's talking about judging. I would love I would love to ask. Just purely cause.
SPEAKER_02Like I think Well, there's just a very much a lack of transparency over judging. Like I mean, we've all got a kind of a guy, like we've got a general idea of what looks good and what gets the points and the positions and blah blah blah. But it's like it's not um the criteria is not transparent or openly communicated. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01I don't know, like I don't know like the weighting of things.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Do you know what I mean? Like Yeah, well, I mean, even just talking about marching the other day with um Nat. Nat. It's also like those four first four to eight counts.
SPEAKER_01Mind blown. Yeah, that's what I meant. It's like it's I've never I've never worried.
SPEAKER_02Oh, like I have thought about my marching. Like I know that you kind of get scratched if your march is terrible. But I was like, oh, I didn't have to be woeful.
SPEAKER_01Well, it's just like one of these things of going, you know, okay, so make it let's say marching, for example. The weighting of going, all right, uh, that person's arm, make it they've got a really lovely march, but their backswing is not there, because it's like golf. The backswing's not there. Versus someone who goes, Oh, they're absolutely beautiful, but they're not on the bait. Like what do you do you get what I'm saying?
SPEAKER_02I'm like, from um that's where fizzy and golf are different because golf is judged on the result.
SPEAKER_01No, and that's what I mean.
SPEAKER_02And fizzy is judged on the journey through the thing, like you can still perform something that looks aesthetic as beautiful, which is the result.
SPEAKER_01Yes.
SPEAKER_02But like if golf was like, oh, that backswing was terrible, that don't care.
SPEAKER_01Oh, no. Did the ball get in the hole? Job done. No, I mean more like with people in their arms, like, you know, if you're a big thing. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. So it's just one of those things. Like, I would love to know the more around the transparency of going, well, what's what's weighted? You know, is it oh that person has a beautiful march, but they're completely off the beat. Yeah. There's someone who was on the beat did everything right, but the back, the back of their arm doesn't swing back as much. Like, it's just for me, I'm like, I get it that you need to have everything right, but it's kind of like, what if you have literally mobility issues in your shoulders and you can't get it. It's where I come back when I come back to going, and it's it's purely out of jealousy, it's purely out of because my body, uh the center of the body. My body doesn't do most things. Like, and you kind of go, well, my mobility only allows me to do that. Yeah, I can't do that. I I physically can't do balance. I can't do the balances.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. I can't do a pulse. And I'm not impulse. You won't see me do one. I don't know how to. I can't do them either. And I also don't have any appetite to try. To me, it looks gorgeous when someone can do it.
SPEAKER_03Otherwise, I feel like a toss.
SPEAKER_02I look like I'm never gonna do something when I feel like a toss. And I know that the the catch-cry is if it feels stupid, you're doing it right.
SPEAKER_01But sometimes you just look stupid.
SPEAKER_02But I just if I'm doing it right, then I just know I'm not.
SPEAKER_01You're like, I feel like I'm doing it stupid.
SPEAKER_02And I also think stupid and I look it. Um I had a question off the back of that. So I'm gonna play devil's advocate. Uh-huh. The other side of the the other side of the coin. What if you do what if you do know everything that's involved in judging? Does that fuck with your head?
SPEAKER_01Oh yeah, probably.
SPEAKER_02I is it are we all better off kind of not knowing? And having a general a general trust?
SPEAKER_01Yes. And I'd say, and maybe this is why they do it. I think I think I would I like the idea of knowing, but I think that I would lose It's Pandora's box.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_01And I would lose the passion for it.
SPEAKER_02You'd be like, I'm never gonna be able to do that.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, because look, at the end of the day, I can sit here and say, I do it for the love of it. I'm you know, it's success for me, it's just you know, my own goals and blah blah blah. Yeah. I'm hyper competitive. Let's love you to win. Yeah, you'd be playing competitive sport, web sport. I'm like, there's no part of us that goes into fizzy and going, oh, don't worry, but this part of me, I'm not competitive. I'm like, no, I'm fucking competitive. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Mariah, um, after I posted that um we were I said oh um touching success. Yeah. And she wrote back, I thought I'd talk to you about, you know, that's not the goal.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, no, because she had a I had a a moment.
SPEAKER_02And I said to her, How do you know who you're talking to? And she said, You both need to hear it. But um Yeah, I I find it very hard to let go of pinning success to something other than a result.
SPEAKER_01Well, and it's hard like they've got these things here, like the medals, they're there, they they're there, it's part of the hanging, it's a competitive spot. Of course it is a competitive spot.
SPEAKER_02It's no different to netball.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, 100%.
SPEAKER_02I'm like, I want to win. Go out and lose the grand final of Netball and be like, oh, it was a great season. Yeah. No, yeah. You're probably gonna go and get shit faced at the pub.
SPEAKER_01So if yeah, if in answer to your question, if I knew everything, I think I'd be really easily deterred.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, it'd kill the magic.
SPEAKER_01It killed the mag it would be it would kill the the hope and the whole like the whole half glass full of going, maybe. Maybe that's why they do it. Yeah. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Okay, I get it now. Yeah, I get it now.
SPEAKER_01That's the reason. Guys, you could probably beat you back to the phone.
SPEAKER_02It's not like that's just a revelation in my own mind doing this talking. And that's why the podcast is great. Yeah. Because you actually answer some of your own questions sometimes just by talking it through to say I I'm thinking about like being in Jackie's head if she was here and saying, Oh, but what would happen if I did tell you everything?
SPEAKER_01And you'd be like, And it's like, yeah, please actually please don't. Don't tell me what's like because I would never play anything.
SPEAKER_02Let me walk out and do my thing. 100%. She's probably like, you don't want to know. Yeah. And those that know do. Yes. And they'll always get it right. They just know how it works, they've done it forever. Yeah. It's a time served sport. It oh, yeah.
SPEAKER_01I feel like yeah, it probably is. Or you have to have time served in another adjacent dancing or whatever.
SPEAKER_02Okay, these ones are um options. Oh, okay. So A versus B. Okay. Marching or floor routine. Floor.
SPEAKER_01Wow! I hate marching. Oh, I hate floor. Oh, floor's fine. Uh it's the get down I hate. Once I'm down, fine.
SPEAKER_02I hate being on the floor. You just I hate dirt though. Yeah, I don't like being dirty. I'm like, what is on the floor? I'm not a germaphobe. I'm just like, I don't want to get down. I'm lazy. I don't want to get down on the floor.
SPEAKER_01I don't like getting down. I don't like the get downs, and I don't like how it's a choose your own adventure get down. But um, once I'm down, I'm fine.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, right. Yeah,
A game of options
SPEAKER_02all good. I don't mind getting down. I'm like, oh, now I'm on the floor and I can't see anything and I can't see anyone. Okay, that's why I like it. Oh, yeah, you're out.
SPEAKER_01Okay, I can't fall.
SPEAKER_02I'll try that. I can't fall over. That's true. You can't fall out of anything. She's a thinker. Um cardio or contemporary. Oh, cardio. Yeah, that was an easy one. Interclubs or zone. Zone.
SPEAKER_01I told you too much close proximity is an interesting.
SPEAKER_02They make those chairs way too close to the floor. Um, individual or teams. Individual fucking teams. This is a random one. Coffee or wine. Or or beer. Like wine and beer versus coffee. What could you live without? I don't think I could live without. I mean, it's sad to say it, but I'll kinda live without coffee. Oh wow. Yeah, you're a morning person. Yeah. I think I'm the other side. Yeah. Um ronde. Ronde Ronda's. Wearing the Ronde. Or demi. Oh.
unknownThis is gonna be.
SPEAKER_02I mean, because I know that you hate leotards. I couldn't even put I mean, I shouldn't. Yeah, no. I was like, I can't put Leotard or performance wear because I mean I can't.
SPEAKER_01I burn every single Leo.
SPEAKER_02Cookie monster.
SPEAKER_01That's my butt. Um Demi. I've gone back. Oh, you've gone. I've gone back. Well in Demi. Yeah, I did write. Too many Rondays around.
SPEAKER_02Too many. I wore the ronde for the first time at Ribbon Comp.
SPEAKER_01Don't know if I love it. Yeah. I I liked it last year, then it it's it's everywhere. I'm one of these people, I'm like, eh, no, no, thanks. Hashtag period. Shark wake's coming. Shark wake's coming.
SPEAKER_02I um they just gotta make that top longer. Yeah, it's the top thing. Full stop. Just make it longer. Yeah. It doesn't matter if you're a short person.
SPEAKER_01It's gonna keep it. It's short on me and I'm short. Yeah. Like it's it is short.
SPEAKER_02And so imagine me, it looks like a bloody crop top.
unknownHit that.
SPEAKER_02There I get my wish. Your wish has been granted. Your wishes. Um oh, this is the final one. It's a bit of a random one for the last one, but I just I phoned it in by the time I got done. Fair Di Montes or no Di Montes? Oh.
SPEAKER_01Okay. I have to ask you. Oh, you're a Sparkles girl. Well, I need to ask. Are we talking about Daimontis that are on EP and Apta Daimontis or what we call BJP the Daimonty Shimmer? Oh no, I'm talking about apta apta. No, absolutely not, Mum. You don't like it. I'm not a bling gal.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, you're not. Neither's Anna.
SPEAKER_01I'm not blingy. Yeah. I like our shimmy. The the sparkle top. I like the sparkles.
SPEAKER_02I called it crystal meth. Crystal mesh. Because it's called crystal mesh. And I was like, No, see. Do they realise how close that is to crystal meth?
SPEAKER_01See, even to me, I wouldn't wear that because it that is too bling for me. I can appreciate it on other people, but I would never wear that.
SPEAKER_02No, I can't imagine you in it. No, I'm like too much bling.
SPEAKER_01But yeah, I'm a plain Jane.
SPEAKER_02Plain Jane colour. Plain Jane.
SPEAKER_01Just plain. Well, that's all my question. Did you like it? I did. Do you know what? It was hard. Yeah, and now I get how guests feel when we're all like, oh, it's not even don't even worry about it. No, I get it.
SPEAKER_02I find it so easy to just go, I'm so black and white in my opinions. Scott's always like, I've never met anybody who is just like, oh, it's it's oh it's oh fuck yeah, or fuck no. There's there's no shades of grey. I'm one or the other.
SPEAKER_01I have to like sometimes really think and go, yeah, what's good? It'd like everything goes blank. I'm like, I don't know.
SPEAKER_02I'd love to get more curious and be more the the problem with me is I'm like that's a sign that I'm not being open-minded. I'm not being curious and I'm not actually considering the options and I'm really hard, you know, like so I like your style of being considered. Okay. It's something that I would like to aspire to one day.
SPEAKER_01I think you I have I have a potty pick. Oh, yeah. Do you want to hear
Poddy Pick: Back to the Mac
SPEAKER_01it? It's really rogue. It's got nothing to do with physiological.
SPEAKER_02Oh, I love that.
SPEAKER_01Do you like I think I've asked you this before. Do you like Fleetwood Mac?
SPEAKER_02I bloody love Fleetwood Mac, and they've come out and I've bloody missed them every time.
SPEAKER_01Okay, so there is a tribute band called the Fleetwood Mac Experience. I know there's heaps of them around, but I have to share this particular one. Yeah, they're right. I am a bit biased because one of my good friends is a lead singer, but hear me up. I have seen it about four times. Carl has no, I've seen it three times. Carl's seen it four times. It is incredible. And when I say if you love Fleetwood Mac, it is a fucking vibe and they go all over Australia.
SPEAKER_02Can I come with you next week?
SPEAKER_01Oh my god, you'll love it. They are so, so amazingly good, and they do so much touring. So I'm gonna share the page and like just follow them and go out like this. If you want like a good fizzy girls night out, perfect. Oh my, you won't regret it.
SPEAKER_02Wait, you know what? It goes for like two and a half hours. Doing a Fleetwood Mac song at Fizzy. Oh my god. Like honestly. Please.
SPEAKER_01And they do everything, like all of like the whole disography. The whole disography, heaps of um Stevie Nicks. Oh she does like Edge of 17.
SPEAKER_02She's such a legend. My god, she is such a legend. Edge of 17 would be a great fizzy song. Come on. Come on. Other codes are doing good retro stuff like Madonna Vogue.
SPEAKER_01Just like the one wing dev sings like she's singin'. Well, on that note, we gotta go set up. But yeah, I'll share it. Yes, I love that. Awesome. Everyone.
SPEAKER_00Good luck interclub season. Yes.
SPEAKER_02And say say thank you to the people that run your interclub because it's so much work. God, thank you. I thank you. We thank everyone that's running. I'm thanking you because you run it.
SPEAKER_01Oh no, I would rock up. I've literally done nothing. Once again, I just rock up.
